OPP seize 4,000 marijuana plants in Lakeshore

On February 21, at 10 p.m. members of the OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB) and the OPP Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) conducted two drug-related searches at homes in Tecumseh and Lakeshore.
The first warrant was conducted in the 1400 block of County Rd 22, Lakeshore. Three Toronto-area men have been charged with numerous Criminal Code charges, and Controlled Drug and Substance Act charges. The three men – ages 46, 47 and 51 – are currently in custody and are awaiting a bail hearing before the judicial system. The names are not being released at this time. The OPP seized approximately 4,000 marijuana plants and drug paraphernalia.
The OPP OCEB and DEU also conducted a search warrant in the 12000 block of Vickery Lane, Tecumseh. As a result of this warrant, no marijuana was located, however, evidence revealed the residence was just recently used as an Indoor Marijuana Grow Operation. The investigation will continue and charges may be laid.
